Linking to Library databases content is the same as adding any web link in Canvas, as long as the link includes the Library's proxy prefix.

  1. You first need to identify the "persistent link" to the article you would like to use - this is not the URL that appears in your browser's address bar.

When viewing an article on your screen, look for something like "permalink" or "bookmark this document" - the terminology varies from database vendor to database vendor. For example,

    https://search.proquest.com/docview/431765550?accountid=35779

  2. You need to add the "proxy prefix":

    https://libproxy.howardcc.edu/login?url=

  3. A finished link might look like:

    https://libproxy.howardcc.edu/login?url=https://search.proquest.com/docview/431765550?accountid=35779
