Select textbooks may be available in the Reserves collection shelved behind the Service Desk. Use the Library Catalog to look for books by title, author/editor, ISBN - including textbooks.

Since these textbooks are provided by faculty members for their courses it is up to the faculty member to decide if the book can be taken outside of the HCC Library.

Most materials at the Service Desk may only be checked out for in-library use, usually for one or two hours. Some materials are allowed to go outside the Library, but the borrowing time varies - overnight or 1 week or 2 weeks.

  2. If you search the Library Catalog (either via the link in the original response or use the search box on the library home page), you will be able to find out if the textbook you need is currently on reserve in the Library.
