The answer depends on what type of video or movie you're trying to view online.
Some videos (PBS show, lectures, etc.) are available online through Ereserves, if an instructor has specifically requested a video be placed there and the video is licensed for online streaming:
- Access Ereserves.
- Find your course in the course listing.
- Log-in with the course password - this will be provided by your regular classroom instructor, not the Library.
- View the video.
Full-length feature films (e.g., Parenthood) need to be viewed in the Library and you will need to bring headphones with you (or purchase them at the Service Desk).
- Most feature length films in the HCC Library may only be borrowed by HCC faculty for classroom use - there are a few movies on Reserve that may be available to take home (for 1 day), but you would still have to come in to check it out from the Service Desk.
- The Howard County Library System has a wide collection of feature length films - you may wish to check their catalog to find out if they have the title you need for check out.
