To use Thomson Reuters Checkpoint (TRC) you need to first access the TRC registration link & then create your TRC account - only after creating your TRC account while on-campus can you then use the TRC database from off-campus

To Register for a TRC Account - saving to folders, bookmarking:

  1. Be on an HCC computer on the HCC network
  2. Access the TRC Registration
  3. Check the box to view/accept the license agreement
  4. Register using your name/email address
  5. Open your email to read your new TRC account username/password sent by Checkpoint
  6. Click the link in the email message to go to the login page
  7. Login using your TRC account credentials & follow the prompts to change your password
  8. Access content as needed

To Use Your TRC Account

  1. Go to the Library Databases page
  2. Click the Letter T
  3. Click on Thomson Reuters Checkpoint
    • If off-campus, log in to the Library proxy using your HCC login credentials
  4. Click the Sign Out option in the orange bar at the top of the page
  5. Click the Change Login link - below the orange login button
  6. Log in with you TRC account credentials
  7. Access content as needed

To Use TRC with Generic HCC Account - no saving to folders, bookmarking docs

  1. Go to the Library Databases page
  2. Click the Letter T
  3. Click on Thomson Reuters Checkpoint
    • If off-campus, log in to the Library proxy using your HCC login credentials
  4. Access content as needed
