Circulating books from the Main Stacks are .50 cents per day per item - this can add up very quickly if you have more than one book.
If your book is due today, you can go online and renew your book or you can call the Check Out Desk at 443-518-1460.
If your book is already past due, call the Check Out Desk and find out if the book can be renewed - this might be able to stop additional fines until you can get the book back to the Library (before the new due date).
